Job Description
This role provides overall strategic direction, development and implementation of all of the UMass Memorial Health Care online properties (system website, member hospital websites, microsites, intranet) to advance the organization’s internal and external marketing and communications initiatives. Responsibilities will include managing web design and copy content with agency and internal staff, leveraging social media, search engine marketing/optimization and other communications vehicles for an integrated online presence, and tracking and reporting on key metrics to optimize online results.

Requirements: BS degree in Marketing, Online Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or related field. 5-7+ yrs experience in developing and publishing website content and communications modalities required. Must have detailed working knowledge of HMTL, JavaScript, flash, video, SEO/SEM, web editing and analytics tools, web content management systems, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SharePoint, etc. Excellent writing, editing and communications skills also required. Ideal candidate will be self-directed with an ability to manage multiple projects, deal with multiple constituencies and respond to newly emerging web technology.

Experience in a health care environment is a significant plus!
